“The rule, verbatim: "All applicants need to provide a document attesting their English language knowledge." A medium of instruction letter replaces the test. The exemption clause, verbatim: "Students who can prove that English was the medium of instruction for their Bachelor's degree (for at least 3 years) are exempt from providing any English language certification. In this case, students must upload a document certified by their university confirming that at least 75% of the courses in their programme were taught in English." Italian is not needed to enter this programme. Politecnico asks for proof of Italian at enrolment only for programmes taught entirely in Italian, or in Italian and English. It is needed before you graduate. The university states that an Italian language proficiency test is mandatory for international students admitted to all English language Laurea Magistrale programmes, and that you must certify the language before sitting the graduation exam. A student admitted without it carries an Italian OFA, an additional learning obligation, and has to clear it before graduating.”

Politecnico di Milano does not price degrees individually. One all inclusive contribution covers any programme and is scaled by ISEE, the Italian measure of household income and assets, from 157.04 euro at the bottom of the scale to 3,943.04 euro at the top. The figure here is the top, because the university states that an international student in the reserved non EU category, admitted with a first level qualification obtained abroad and holding no scholarship, pays the maximum whatever ISEE says.

A two year Master of Science in the design, development and management of space systems and missions, covering orbital flight dynamics, propulsion, space structures, onboard systems and mission analysis. It suits aerospace or closely related engineering graduates aiming at satellite manufacturers, space agencies or research centres.
The Master's Degree in Space Engineering educates engineers capable of designing, developing, and managing space systems and missions in one of the most technologically advanced and strategically important sectors worldwide. From defining the architecture of a satellite to ensuring its operational performance in orbit, from analyzing interplanetary trajectories to developing innovative propulsion systems, the space engineer plays a key role in advancing technologies for the exploration and utilization of space.
The university's full description
The space sector is currently undergoing a profound transformation: new satellite constellations, increasingly ambitious scientific missions, and applications in telecommunications, navigation, environmental monitoring, and security are reshaping the role of space in contemporary society. In this dynamic and international landscape, the space engineer is central to integrating scientific, technological, and systems level expertise into reliable, safe, and innovative solutions.
During the first year, students strengthen their advanced foundations in space engineering through courses covering orbital flight dynamics, space system design, propulsion, structures and loads in the space environment, as well as onboard systems. Particular emphasis is placed on a systems level perspective: each satellite or spacecraft is the result of the integration of interdependent subsystems that must operate in a coordinated manner under extreme conditions. In the first year, students also select two elective courses from complementary subject areas related to space engineering.
In the second year, the program is enriched by elective courses that allow students to tailor their study plan according to their professional and scientific interests. Students may deepen their knowledge in areas such as satellite platform design and integration, attitude control systems and advanced orbital dynamics, chemical and electric propulsion, lightweight structures and advanced materials for space applications, mission analysis and space operations, and satellite communication and navigation systems.
The program concludes with the Master's Thesis, a high level design or research experience, often carried out in collaboration with aerospace companies, research centers, or international institutions.
