“The rule, verbatim: "All applicants need to provide a document attesting their English language knowledge." A medium of instruction letter replaces the test. The exemption clause, verbatim: "Students who can prove that English was the medium of instruction for their Bachelor's degree (for at least 3 years) are exempt from providing any English language certification. In this case, students must upload a document certified by their university confirming that at least 75% of the courses in their programme were taught in English." It is needed before you graduate. The university states that an Italian language proficiency test is mandatory for international students admitted to all English language Laurea Magistrale programmes, and that you must certify the language before sitting the graduation exam. A student admitted without it carries an Italian OFA, an additional learning obligation, and has to clear it before graduating.”

Politecnico di Milano does not price degrees individually. One all inclusive contribution covers any programme and is scaled by ISEE, the Italian measure of household income and assets, from 157.04 euro at the bottom of the scale to 3,943.04 euro at the top. The figure here is the top, because the university states that an international student in the reserved non EU category, admitted with a first level qualification obtained abroad and holding no scholarship, pays the maximum whatever ISEE says.

The degree
About this degree.
A two year Master of Science covering fission and fusion plant design, the safety of high risk systems, nuclear materials, the fuel cycle and non energy uses of radiation. It suits engineering graduates who want to work in nuclear power, decommissioning, medical and industrial radiation applications, or fusion research.
The Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering is an academic programme designed to train professionals capable of addressing the complex challenges of the nuclear sector, which is now more strategic than ever from both a scientific and technological perspective, in energy and non energy applications alike. The program provides strongly interdisciplinary expertise, ranging from the design and management of complex systems, including fission and fusion nuclear plants, to the safety of high risk systems, from innovative materials to the nuclear fuel cycle.
The university's full description
Significant attention is also devoted to non energy nuclear applications, such as medical and industrial uses of radiation, the development of systems and instrumentation for radiation detection, radiochemistry and radiation protection applied to environmental issues, as well as the study of matter physics, plasma physics, and nanotechnologies, in close connection with their implications for the nuclear field.
Through an approach that integrates theoretical education, laboratory activities, applied projects, and strong links with research and industry, the program prepares graduates to pursue careers in high technology international environments or to continue their studies with a PhD programme.
The nuclear engineer is required to integrate advanced knowledge of mathematics, physics, and chemistry, applying it effectively across the many fields of engineering. The first year is dedicated to consolidating fundamental knowledge and introducing advanced topics common to the various areas of nuclear engineering, while also providing the tools to begin defining a personal academic orientation through more specialized courses.
The second year focuses on core nuclear specialization, with the opportunity to choose among three different study tracks: Nuclear Power Plants, Nuclear Technologies, and Physics of Nuclear Systems. At this stage, the program becomes highly customizable, thanks to a wide range of elective courses that allow students to build a study plan aligned with their interests and professional goals.
