The university states that an Italian language proficiency test is mandatory for international students admitted to all English language Laurea Magistrale programmes, and that you must certify the language before sitting the graduation exam. One all inclusive contribution covers any programme and is scaled by ISEE, the Italian measure of household income and assets, from 157.04 euro at the bottom of the scale to 3,943.04 euro at the top. The figure here is the top, because the university states that an international student in the reserved non EU category, admitted with a first level qualification obtained abroad and holding no scholarship, pays the maximum whatever ISEE says.

“Admission to the Master's Degree Programme in Geoinformatics Engineering requires a first-cycle degree (EQF Level 6) or an equivalent qualification, as well as certification of English language proficiency. Admission is subject to the evaluation, by an Admission Committee, of the adequacy of the candidate's prior academic background, based on the study curriculum completed and the final grade obtained. For graduates holding degrees in classes L-7, L-8 and L-9, admission is subject solely to the assessment of merit requirements. For applicants holding a foreign qualification, admission requires a valid first-level degree recognized in the country where it was awarded, an academic background adequate and consistent with the chosen programme, and compliance with the required language proficiency criteria.”

A two year Master of Science in the mathematical, computational and technological tools for processing geospatial observations such as satellite imagery and GNSS data, in support of environmental monitoring, land management, infrastructure planning and emergency management. It suits engineering or science graduates who want to turn georeferenced data into structured information for GIS, Earth observation and territorial analysis.
The Master's Degree Programme in Geoinformatics Engineering provides mathematical, computational, and technological tools for the processing of geospatial observations, such as satellite imagery and GNSS observations, in support of environmental monitoring, land management, infrastructure planning, and emergency management.

The programme operates within a technologically advanced and rapidly evolving field, integrating systems for data acquisition, processing, and management, also through the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques, with the aim of transforming georeferenced data into structured information and contributing to the development of the Digital Earth paradigm.
The programme aims to educate engineers with a solid theoretical and applied background in the management, processing, and analysis of geospatial data, capable of applying these competencies to the solution of complex environmental and territorial problems. It integrates mathematical and statistical methods, techniques for the acquisition and processing of observations, both conventional and satellite-based, reference systems and geospatial data representation, computing architectures, and methodologies for the management of large-scale datasets. Particular emphasis is placed on developing independent learning skills and critical thinking, which are essential in a field characterized by rapid technological evolution.
Teaching activities combine lectures, practical exercises, and laboratory work based on real or realistic case studies, fostering the development of design skills and problem-solving abilities. The programme concludes with an original Master's thesis project, aimed at the autonomous and innovative application of the knowledge acquired.
