“The rule, verbatim: "All applicants need to provide a document attesting their English language knowledge." A medium of instruction letter replaces the test. In this case, students must upload a document certified by their university confirming that at least 75% of the courses in their programme were taught in English." Italian is not needed to enter this programme. Politecnico asks for proof of Italian at enrolment only for programmes taught entirely in Italian, or in Italian and English. It is needed before you graduate. The university states that an Italian language proficiency test is mandatory for international students admitted to all English language Laurea Magistrale programmes, and that you must certify the language before sitting the graduation exam. A student admitted without it carries an Italian OFA, an additional learning obligation, and has to clear it before graduating.”

Politecnico di Milano does not price degrees individually. One all inclusive contribution covers any programme and is scaled by ISEE, the Italian measure of household income and assets, from 157.04 euro at the bottom of the scale to 3,943.04 euro at the top. The figure here is the top, because the university states that an international student in the reserved non EU category, admitted with a first level qualification obtained abroad and holding no scholarship, pays the maximum whatever ISEE says.

“Admission is subject to meeting precise curricular requirements and an adequate preparation, as specified in the Programme Regulations. In particular, the adequate preparation requires an average score of at least 22/30 if previously enrolled in the Bachelor course in Electronics Engineering offered by Politecnico di Milano, and of at least 23/30 in case of other Bachelor programmes offered by Politecnico di Milano and other Italian universities. For a non-Italian degree, possession of such requirements is evaluated, for each case individually, by the Admission Commission of the Study Course, considering the candidate's career in its entirety, the passed exams and the attachments to the admission request.”

About this degree.
A two year Master of Science that builds on a bachelor in electronics and moves into advanced electronic design: integrated analog and digital circuits, electronic systems, power electronics, electron devices, sensors and electronic instrumentation. It suits graduates of an electronics, electronic or related engineering bachelor who want to design devices, circuits and systems of any complexity for industry or research.
The Master of Science programme aims to form graduates with a comprehensive and solid scientific and technological background in Electronics Engineering. The professional figure created by the programme will be able to design and to use electronic devices, electronic circuits and electronic systems of any complexity as well as to promote the diffusion of electronic technologies in many different fields of application.
The university's full description
To meet these goals, the programme builds upon the bulk of base knowledge acquired during the Bachelor of Science programme, focusing on the most advanced disciplines in electronic design to introduce the most innovative and challenging topics in the sector of Electronics, providing the students with the adequate mindset to start a successful career in relevant industrial and academic institutions.
The programme allows students to acquire an extensive range of knowledge and design skills in the fields of integrated analog and digital circuits, electronic systems, power electronics, electron devices, sensors and electronic instrumentation. Students will also find courses on similar topics with respect to those specific to the area of electronics, that can be chosen to widen and diversify the topics studied during the course.
Students enrolled in this study programme are eligible for the Interdisciplinary Programme in Smart Wearable Technologies, developed in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica and the Smart Eyewear Lab.
The programme is taught in English at the Milano Leonardo campus and lasts two years.
