Politecnico di Milano does not price degrees individually. One all inclusive contribution covers any programme and is scaled by ISEE, the Italian measure of household income and assets, from 157.04 euro at the bottom of the scale to 3,943.04 euro at the top. The figure here is the top, because the university states that an international student in the reserved non EU category, admitted with a first level qualification obtained abroad and holding no scholarship, pays the maximum whatever ISEE says.

“Politecnico di Milano, Admission to Laurea programmes, Urban Planning, academic year 2026/2027: "If you are interested in the Undergraduate programme in Urban Planning: Cities, Environment & Landscapes it is mandatory to take an entrance exam. Every programme has a maximum number of available places, fixed by the University each year." The entrance exam page states: "The Urban Planning entrance exam consists of a selection interview based on a letter and an essay prepared by the candidate." Available places, academic year 2026/2027: "Urbanistica: Citta Ambiente Paesaggio (Milano Leonardo campus) 130 places (125 places for Italian students, Communitary nationals and foreign nationals treated as equivalent to Community nationals + 5 places for extra UE students)".”

About this degree.
A three year Laurea in Italian that trains urban planners to interpret, evaluate and manage the transformation of cities, land and landscapes. It suits students who want humanistic knowledge combined with a technical and scientific background for planning, policy and environmental work.
Cities and the fascinating yet at the same time dramatic phenomena that are affecting them, quality of the environment and sustainability of inhabited areas, degradation of landscapes and, on the other hand, urgency of their care are very topical challenges, in Italy, in Europe and worldwide, which the Urban Planner is called upon to address.
The university's full description
This Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) programme prepares a professional figure able to interpret, evaluate and manage the transformations and involved in urban and land planning projects. Humanistic knowledge is combined with a solid technical-scientific background, in order to develop up-to-date and innovative skills for land planning and for the design and management of urban, land and sector policies.
The training programme provides the multidisciplinary knowledge useful for developing the discriminatory skills for defining and developing complex interventions, that is projects, plans, programmes and policies.
