Politecnico di Milano does not price degrees individually. One all inclusive contribution covers any programme and is scaled by ISEE, the Italian measure of household income and assets, from 157.04 euro at the bottom of the scale to 3,943.04 euro at the top. The figure here is the top, because the university states that an international student in the reserved non EU category, admitted with a first level qualification obtained abroad and holding no scholarship, pays the maximum whatever ISEE says.

The accepted entrance tests are the TOL (Test on Line), provided by Politecnico di Milano and administered in Italian, the TOLC-I, provided by the Consortium of Inter-University Integrated Access Systems, CISIA, administered in Italian, and the CEnT-S and SAT as English language alternatives. Politecnico di Milano publishes a table of available places for each Bachelor programme for academic year 2026/2027.”

The university's full description
The curriculum works on the relationships between the structure of a material, its properties, the manufacturing processes that shape it from the macroscopic down to the nanometric scale, and the selection of the right material for a given application.
The three years progress from foundational sciences such as mathematics, physics and chemistry in the first year, through core courses in materials engineering and nanotechnology covering metallic, polymeric, ceramic and composite materials in the second and third years, and finish with a technological design laboratory built around experimental and team based project work.
The degree runs for three years and is taught in Italian at the Milano Leonardo campus. Many graduates continue with the Master's programme in Materials Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
