Politecnico di Milano does not price degrees individually. One all inclusive contribution covers any programme and is scaled by ISEE, the Italian measure of household income and assets, from 157.04 euro at the bottom of the scale to 3,943.04 euro at the top. A three year Bachelor of Science taught in English at the Lecco campus, training designers of products, services and interactive systems that combine digital and physical components. It suits students who want to design apps, websites, smart devices and IoT systems and who are happy working across design, humanities and technology.
The programme aims to prepare students as interaction designers, professionals capable of designing products, services, and interactive systems that combine digital and physical components. Students learn to conceive, visualize, and develop digital and physical interfaces, such as apps, websites, smart devices, and IoT systems, that are useful, intuitive, and socially sustainable.
The university's full description
The curriculum integrates design, humanities, technological, and representation disciplines in order to provide scientific, critical, and operational skills to future designers. Students work on the design of interactive systems, from digital and physical interfaces to products and environments that integrate electronics, computational power, and technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and intelligent algorithms.
Alongside technical competencies, the course develops knowledge of the cognitive dynamics of interaction, usability, and accessibility. Teaching combines lectures, design studios, and workshops to foster a critical, creative, and multidisciplinary approach.
The degree runs for three years, is taught in English, is based at the Lecco campus and sits in degree class L-4. Graduates may continue with the Master's Degree in Digital and Interaction Design at Politecnico di Milano.
