Politecnico di Milano does not price degrees individually. One all inclusive contribution covers any programme and is scaled by ISEE, the Italian measure of household income and assets, from 157.04 euro at the bottom of the scale to 3,943.04 euro at the top. The figure here is the top, because the university states that an international student in the reserved non EU category, admitted with a first level qualification obtained abroad and holding no scholarship, pays the maximum whatever ISEE says.

The degree
About this degree.
A design bachelor that treats fashion as an industrial design discipline, covering materials and technologies, product, image and communication, 3D modelling and prototyping, and design direction. It suits students who want to work inside the fashion industry as designers rather than train as stylists.
The school is explicit about what it is not teaching. In its own words, it does not offer an education as a fashion stylist but as a fashion designer: not an artist, isolated in his own talent, but a designer who is inspired and linked to the industry and its constraints.
The university's full description
The programme provides the cultural, scientific, methodological and technical instrumental elements that form the foundation of design activity in the fashion field: from materials and technologies to product, image and communication, 3D modelling and prototyping, management and design direction.
Students study the industrial system of the fashion industry, the evolution of behavioural habits and the cultural values attached to them, alongside sector specific processes, materials, technologies and manufacturing techniques, market competition dynamics, positioning strategies, and distribution and communication processes.
Study can be tailored across a number of specialisations, including menswear, womenswear, kidswear, jewellery, fashion accessories, knitwear, sportswear, underwear and beachwear.
The programme lasts three years and is taught in Italian at the Milano Bovisa campus. The programme coordinator is Prof Giovanni Maria Conti.
