Global Governance is a bachelor degree of the School of Economics at Tor Vergata University of Rome. The Department of Economics and Finance runs it. It lasts three years and all teaching is in English. The official class is L-16, Administration and organization sciences. The course code is O37. There is a double degree with Créteil East Paris University.
The university's full description
The university describes the degree as an interdisciplinary education method. It was designed for global phenomena that need transversal skills in Politics, Economics and Law, scientific and technical competences, and skills to manage cultural mediation processes and ethical challenges. Teaching and all activities take place in English. Visiting professors from foreign universities join every year.
Students choose one of three majors. They are the Economics and Philosophy Major, the Political Science, Law and History Major, and the Science and Technology Major. Students are oriented to the choice during the first semester of the second year. They can change the major chosen in the first year.
The published course list for a.y. 2026-2027 holds 45 taught units. They range across economics, law, history, statistics, computing and environmental science. Examples as printed are GLOBAL LAW at 12 CFU, INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS at 12 CFU, CALCULUS at 12 CFU, GLOBAL ECONOMICS at 9 CFU and ANTHROPOLOGY OF GLOBALISATION at 6 CFU. French and Spanish language units at level B1 are also listed.
Entry is by selection and places are capped. The call for a.y. 2026/2027 offered at most 204 places. Of those, 129 were for EU citizens and non-EU citizens legally resident in Italy, and 75 were reserved for non-EU citizens resident abroad who apply for a visa. The selection runs in four rounds.
Scoring is out of 100 points. Submitted documents are worth up to 40 points. A candidate needs at least 24 out of 40 on the documents to be called to the interview. The oral interview is worth up to 60 points. A total of 70 out of 100 or above makes a candidate eligible. Candidates below 70 may still enrol if places remain, but they carry an additional educational obligation called OFA to complete within the first year.
There is no English certificate requirement for this degree. The call states that English language knowledge and skills are verified according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages at entry level B2. That check happens inside the oral interview, which is held in English. The committee scores the candidate's ability to understand and speak English as part of the 60 interview points.
The fee to take part in the selection is 100,00 Euro and it is not refundable. Admitted candidates then pay a pre-enrolment fee of 156 euro, made up of 16 euro of stamp duty and 140 euro of regional fee for the right to study. The university converts that 156 euro into the first instalment at enrolment.
Tuition sits in contribution class 7, which the university introduced for this degree from a.y. 2024/2025. Under the income assessment the ordinary band runs from 0 euro to a maximum of 9.000 euro, the superior band from 300 euro to a maximum of 9.570 euro, and the maximum band from 650 euro to a maximum of 10.100 euro. Students with income abroad, for whom the Italian ISEE does not apply, can choose to pay a yearly flat contribution of 4.500,00 euro instead.
