The three curricula published for 2026/2027 are Economia politica, Macroeconomics and finance (Percorso valido anche fini del conseguimento del doppio titolo italo-belga) - in lingua inglese, and Applied Economics and Policy - in lingua inglese. The objectives page states that the three curricula share a common first teaching period. The Macroeconomics and finance curriculum is also the route to an Italian and Belgian double degree, which the Italian course card records as Doppio titolo: italo-belga.

Both English curricula open with the same quantitative core. Each lists ADVANCED MACROECONOMICS at 9 CFU, ADVANCED MICROECONOMICS at 9 CFU, Mathematics for economics and finance at 9 CFU and ADVANCED ECONOMETRICS at 9 CFU. Macroeconomics and finance then covers BANKING AND FINANCIAL REGULATION, MACROECONOMIC THEORY AND POLICY, INTERNATIONAL BANKING AND CAPITAL MARKETS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN BANKING AND FINANCE, with a FINANCE option group worth 18 CFU. Applied Economics and Policy then covers CORPORATE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION, Labour economics and policy, COMPETITION LAW and Business policy, with POLICY EVALUATION option groups. Each curriculum requires 6 CFU of laboratory work. The Macroeconomics and finance group offers COMPUTATIONAL TOOLS FOR MACROECONOMETRICS, PROGRAMMING TOOLS (PYTHON-R) and EXPERIMENTAL ECONOMICS. The Applied Economics and Policy group offers STATA LABORATORY, STATISTICS FOR POLICY EVALUATION, PROGRAMMING TOOLS (PYTHON-R) and EXPERIMENTAL ECONOMICS. Both curricula end with a DISSERTATION worth 18 CFU.

Admission is not by ranked competition. The Italian course card states the access mode as Verifica dei requisiti e della preparazione personale. Your entry requirements are checked, then your personal knowledge is checked by an individual interview or a review of your academic record. There is no quota and no entrance test that ranks you against other applicants. Graduates of Italian degree classes L-18 and L-33 are exempt from the personal knowledge check, and so are graduates of other classes with a degree mark of at least 90 out of 110.

Sapienza states this degree's English requirement in two places, and the two do not print the same rule. The university's Academic Requirements sheet for 2026-2027 gives this programme a minimum GPA of 85 out of 100 and accepts IELTS 5.5 or higher, TOEFL iBT 80 or higher, Cambridge English B2 First or higher, and Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English ISE II or higher. The programme's own call for applications asks instead for CEFR level B2 proved by an official certificate or by at least 3 CFU of English language proficiency in your previous degree, and sends anyone who has neither to an interview. Duolingo is not on Sapienza's accepted test list. The medium of instruction waiver is limited to the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, so a degree taught in English in Pakistan does not waive the requirement.

Fees are low and they are published. The Faculty of Economics standard rate is 2,821 euro a year. A student who earns income abroad and therefore cannot file an Italian ISEE pays a fixed amount set by country band instead, and Pakistan is named in Band A, which is 300 euro a year. Sapienza's own admissions page gives the range for all its Bachelor's and Master's programmes as 300 to 1500 euro a year by country of residence. Two charges come before tuition: a 30 euro pre-selection application fee and a 10 euro fee for the eligibility check.

Timing is the hard part for an applicant from Pakistan. A non-EU applicant who needs a student visa must hold a pre-acceptance letter to enrol on an English taught curriculum, and that letter comes from the MoveIn pre-selection. For 2026/2027 the pre-selection ran from 22 December 2025 to 15 May 2026 for visa applicants, and the Universitaly visa pre-enrolment closed on 30 June 2026. The programme's own eligibility check stays open until 15 September 2026, but only a candidate who already holds the pre-acceptance letter can still use it. Dates for 2027/2028 are not published yet.
