A two year law master's at Roma Tre in Rome, run as one degree with five curricula, three of them taught entirely in English, covering banking and financial regulation, technology law and international business law. It suits a law graduate who wants to work in company legal and compliance teams, in financial supervision, or in European and international institutions rather than in court.
Scienze giuridiche is the master's degree in law run by the Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza at Roma Tre. Its Italian class code is LM/SC-GIUR. Roma Tre publishes it in English as Juridical Sciences. The course lasts two years and is worth 120 CFU. Students sit 12 graded exams, plus the pass or fail units set by the study plan, plus a final dissertation worth 17 CFU.
The university's full description
For 2026/2027 the degree runs five curricula. Three are taught in English: Law, Technologies and Society, Law and Finance, and International Business Law. Two are taught in Italian: Governo dei dati e Intelligenza artificiale, and Diritto, Banca e Finanza. All five sit inside one degree and lead to the same qualification.
The subject is law applied to business, regulated markets and technology. The banking and finance paths cover financial systems, banking regulation, supervision, European and international financial markets, and fintech. The technology paths cover artificial intelligence, data protection, cybersecurity, digital markets and platform regulation. The International Business Law path covers international commercial law, arbitration, competition, international taxation and the regulation of global markets. Legal clinics and moot court competitions are taught units inside the plan, not extras.
Admission is not automatic. You need a three year first degree, or a foreign qualification that Roma Tre recognises as suitable. Your prior degree must sit in one of the listed Italian law classes, or you must hold at least 48 CFU across at least two of the listed subject areas. A department panel then checks your personal preparation by reviewing your record and holding an individual interview. The outcome can be admitted, not admitted for want of requirements, or admitted on condition.
For a curriculum taught in English, Roma Tre asks for certified English at CEFR level B2 or above. Fees are not set per programme. Every student pays 16 euro of stamp duty and a 140 euro Lazio regional tax, which is 156 euro of fixed charges, and both sit inside the first instalment. On top of that is an annual contribution graded by ISEE, the Italian income and assets indicator. A student in the lowest band pays only the 156 euro. A student in the top band pays four instalments of 522, 550, 550 and 624 euro, which is 2,246 euro for the year including the fixed charges. A student who files no ISEE is placed in the top band by default, so this is the figure an applicant from abroad should budget against.
The application window for 2026/2027 opened on 7 April 2026 and closes on 15 September 2026. A late window runs from 16 September 2026 to 15 December 2026 and carries a 60 euro charge per application. Results are published by 6 October 2026. Enrolment runs from 7 April 2026 to 16 November 2026, and a student admitted on condition has until 31 March 2027. A candidate from outside the EU who lives abroad must also pre-enrol on Universitaly by 15 September 2026.
One warning. The admission call states that to enrol at Roma Tre a candidate must hold a CEFR B2 certificate in Italian or pass the university's own Italian test, which costs 70 euro.
