Unverified. Not yet verified. A person has not opened the source for this cycle. Read off the institution own programme page on 13 September 2026 by a single research pass. It has NOT been independently re-checked: the verification stage of that run was stopped before it reached this record, so the record renders as unverified rather than claiming a receipt it does not have. The English requirement is held at unverified unless a per programme source URL was found. Figures here are a starting point for a reader, not a checked claim. Open questions: 1) The call for A.Y. 2027/2028 was not published when this record was checked on 13 September 2026. The 2026/2027 process opened on 10 November 2025, so the next one is expected around November 2026. applicationDeadline is empty for that reason. 2) The call prints IELTS General Training or Academic minimum 5 as proof of B2. That is lower than the band most Italian universities set for B2, and lower than the 6.5 the same university asks on MSc Economics and MSc European Economy and Business Law. Confirm with admissions_f&b@economia.uniroma2.it before a student books a test at band 5. 3) The call's document list prints Curriculum Vitae in and then stops. The programme FAQ completes the same item as Curriculum Vitae in English, and that is what this record carries. 4) The programme call does not mention a medium of instruction letter. The university wide Online English Language Exam page does accept one. Confirm with the programme office that a medium of instruction letter is read the same way for this degree. 5) The FAQ page still carries 2023/2024 dates in its admissions answers. Its answers on the GPA, the fee, the access type and the English certificate are undated and match the current call, but no date on that page should be used. 6) tuitionPerYearEur is the range the programme's own page publishes. The 2,500 euro flat contribution for a student who cannot produce an ISEE comes from the Student Handbook 2026/2027, not from the programme page, and the 156 euro of regional tax and stamp duty is on top of it. 7) The input file named in the task, /tmp/rome-programmes-todo.json, does not exist on this machine. The programme URL, title, level and language were taken from the university's own pages instead, so the exact title string the todo file holds was not checked against this record. The university's own wording
“The university course record for this degree prints "Access type : Open with curriculum evaluation". The programme FAQ answers the question about a limit on the number of students admitted with "No, the course is characterized by open access with an assessment of personal competencies, i.e., online application + Skype interview for eligible candidates." There is no numerus clausus. A place still depends on meeting the curricular requirements and on passing the interview, and the Admission Board rejects applicants who do not meet the entry requirements.”

You may apply before the 3-year degree is awarded, with at most 18 ECTS credits still missing. The CV must then give the date of the degree exam and the exams still to be passed.
Any gap in the curriculum must be filled before the enrolment deadline.
Admitted students may enrol only once the Bachelor's degree is earned. Enrolment for 2026/2027 began in July 2026 and closes on 6 November 2026.
A non-EU applicant with a foreign degree who needs a visa must pre-enrol on the Universitaly portal. The pre-enrolment deadline for 2026/2027 was 31 July 2026.
At least 15 years of education are required to enrol in a Master of Science in Italy: elementary school, middle school, high school and a bachelor's degree.

Before any of it counts
Start the legalisation chain first
A degree awarded outside Europe has to be attested and legalised before an Italian university reads it. That chain is decided by the country you apply from, and no office on it publishes a turnaround.
The degree
About this degree.
A two year master's degree in quantitative finance at Tor Vergata University of Rome, taught entirely in English, worth 120 ECTS in Italian degree class LM-16. It suits graduates of economics, business, mathematics, statistics, engineering or physics who want to work in asset management, risk or quantitative analysis.
The Master of Science in Finance and Banking is a two year programme at the School of Economics of Tor Vergata University of Rome. The Department of Economics and Finance runs it. Teaching is entirely in English. The degree carries 120 ECTS credits and sits in Italian degree class LM-16, Finance. The university course record gives the course code L80.
The university's full description
The course page describes the degree as a two year programme of quantitative methods for finance. The programme states that its graduates should know the quantitative, mathematical, statistical and econometric methods used in financial economics. They should be able to measure, analyse and manage risk, including market risk and credit risk. They should be able to value and manage portfolios and financial products. They should hold the legal skills needed to work in the sector, and know the programming techniques needed to implement models and analyse data. The first year teaches mathematics and statistics, then economics and finance, business administration and computing tools. The second year adds business economics and law courses, plus three exams of the student's free choice.
The published plan for the 2026/2027 cohort runs over four semesters. Each semester is split into two modules. A module is six weeks of teaching, with exams at the end of it. A course worth 6 credits has 36 hours of lectures. The first year is a Statistics pre-course, then Mathematics (12 credits), Statistics (6 credits), Derivatives (6 credits), Coding and Data Analysis for Finance (6 credits), Times Series (6 credits), Corporate Finance (6 credits), Financial Market Models (6 credits), Financial Econometrics (6 credits) and one elective course (6 credits). The second year is Asset Pricing (6 credits), Securities Regulation and Responsible Investments (6 credits), Asset Management (6 credits), Empirical Banking (6 credits), two further elective courses (6 credits each) and Preparation of Master's Thesis (24 credits). A separate page, Courses a.y. 2026-2027, lists every taught course with its code, its credits and its teacher.
Admission has two steps. You apply online through the Delphi system, and the Admission Board checks whether you meet the entry requirements. Candidates who meet them are invited to an interview on Microsoft Teams. The interview is held in English, lasts about 30 minutes, and tests mathematics, statistics and English. It cannot be rescheduled, and a candidate who does not attend is excluded. The Admission Board sends the result by email within two weeks of the interview. You cannot apply twice for the same academic year, and you cannot defer an acceptance to a later year.
English at B2 of the CEFR is required. A certificate is not compulsory. A candidate without one may still apply, and English is then assessed in the online interview. Duolingo is not accepted anywhere at this university.
The programme's own tuition page gives an annual fee between 0 euro and 4,250.00 euro. The amount is set by family income declared in the ISEE-U form, or, for a student living outside Italy, in the Scheda Raccolta Dati. The Student Handbook 2026/2027 places this degree in contribution class 4, whose ordinary ceiling is the same 4,250 euro. The handbook also names M.Sc. Finance and Banking among the English taught programmes where an international student for whom the ISEE does not apply pays a fixed annual all-inclusive contribution of 2,500.00 euro instead. The regional tax and the stamp duty, 156 euro together, are due on top of either amount. The application fee is 30 euro and it is not refundable.
The employment statistics page names five main professional figures for graduates of this degree. The university course page says most students finish on time and go to work in banks, trading houses, insurance companies, international agencies and institutions, and that some continue in PhD programmes. Students may spend the second year at the University of Gothenburg under a dual degree. A second dual degree exists with the University of Minho.
The 2026/2027 admission process opened on 10 November 2025 and ran in five intakes. It has closed. The last day to apply was 28 May 2026 for a non-EU applicant needing a visa, and 28 July 2026 for everyone else. Enrolment closes on 6 November 2026, and admitted students were asked to be at the university for the start of the programme on 31 August 2026. No call for 2027/2028 was published on the programme site when this record was checked on 13 September 2026.

What does the year cost?
The programme tuition page gives an annual fee between 0 euro and 4,250.00 euro, set by family income declared in the ISEE-U form or, for a student living outside Italy, in the Scheda Raccolta Dati. The Student Handbook 2026/2027 sets a fixed annual all-inclusive contribution of 2,500.00 euro for this named programme where the ISEE does not apply. The regional tax and stamp duty of 156 euro are added to either amount.
Where is the module list published?
