Unverified. Not yet verified. A person has not opened the source for this cycle. Read off the institution own programme page on 13 September 2026 by a single research pass. It has NOT been independently re-checked: the verification stage of that run was stopped before it reached this record, so the record renders as unverified rather than claiming a receipt it does not have. The English requirement is held at unverified unless a per programme source URL was found. Figures here are a starting point for a reader, not a checked claim. Open questions: 1) The 2027/2028 call for applications is not published yet. The 2026/2027 call opened on 10 November 2025, so the next one is likely to open around November 2026, but no date is published anywhere I could reach. 2) The FAQ page states an application fee of 30 euro, while the 2026/2027 call and the Delphi application procedure page both state 50 euro. I used 50 because it appears on the current call. The FAQ looks stale and should be rechecked. 3) The courses page lists 18 modules with codes and credits but does not print the year, the semester, or which modules are core and which are elective. The structure page says 11 core classes and two elective activities without naming which is which. 4) No number of places is published, so this record cannot say how competitive entry is. 5) The programme's fees page gives a range of 0 to 5,250 euro and does not mention the 156 euro of fixed charges the university applies elsewhere. Whether those charges sit inside or on top of the range is not stated on this programme's pages. 6) The 70 per cent figure is the threshold at which the call deems personal preparation satisfied, not a hard floor for admission. A candidate below it can still be admitted through the interview. Check how the record renders this before showing it as a minimum. 7) The degree page also publishes a graduate employment figure. It is a placement rate, so it is excluded from careerOutcomes by the field's own definition and is not recorded here. Tor Vergata University of Rome, European Economy and Business Law

A B2 level English language exam taken during the 3-year degree course may be considered suitable. Why this figure, and not a lower one

Italian state fees usually scale with an assessed household indicator. Where the call states one figure it appears above; where it states a scale, this page says so rather than averaging it.

Before any of it counts

Start the legalisation chain first

A degree awarded outside Europe has to be attested and legalised before an Italian university reads it. That chain is decided by the country you apply from, and no office on it publishes a turnaround.

The degree

About this degree.

A two year master of science in European studies that combines economics with law, management and statistics, taught entirely in English at the School of Economics of Tor Vergata University of Rome. It suits graduates in economics, law, political science, engineering, mathematics or physics who want managerial or policy roles in European and international institutions.

European Economy and Business Law is a two year master of science at Tor Vergata University of Rome. It sits in Italian degree class LM-90, European studies. The course code is H75. All teaching is in English. The degree is worth 120 credits (CFU).

The university's full description

The programme combines economics with law, management and statistics. The university describes the approach as interdisciplinary. It covers economic, business and legal questions of international scope. The stated aim is to prepare graduates able to cover managerial roles within European institutions, companies, public administrations, and national and international institutions.

The structure is 11 core classes, two elective activities, one extra activity and a final thesis. Each semester is divided into two learning modules. Attendance is not obligatory, but the university recommends it. Classes, exams and graduation sessions are held in person on campus.

Students with no background in economics take three weeks of compulsory prerequisite classes. These cover mathematics, statistics, microeconomics and macroeconomics. For the 2026-2027 year the refresher courses started on 31 August 2026. Classes started on 14 September 2026.

Admission has two steps. First the Admission Board checks your education background from the online application. Then you sit an online interview on Microsoft Teams. The interview is in English and lasts up to 30 minutes. It covers the general principles of economics and your mathematical and statistical preparation. You are exempt from the interview if you already meet the curricular and language requirements and your final degree mark is at least 77/110, or 70 per cent of the maximum mark for a qualification obtained abroad.

The courses page for a.y. 2026-2027 lists these taught modules with their credits, printed in capitals as shown: AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING IN BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS, 6 CFU; CONTEMPORARY MANAGEMENT, 6 CFU; ECONOMIC JUSTICE, 6 CFU; ECONOMICS AND TERRITORIAL ORGANISATION AND PLANNING, 6 CFU; EUROPEAN ADMINISTRATIVE LAW, 6 CFU; EUROPEAN ECONOMIC HISTORY, 6 CFU; EUROPEAN ECONOMY AND POLICIES, 6 CFU; EUROPEAN INSTITUTIONS, LAW AND MARKETS, 6 CFU; EVIDENCE-BASED POLICY, 6 CFU; GAME THEORY AND INDUSTRIAL ORGANIZATION, 12 CFU; HEALTH ECONOMICS AND POLICY, 6 CFU; INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS, 6 CFU; LABOR ECONOMICS AND POLICY, 6 CFU; MANAGEMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND NGO'S, 6 CFU; POLITICAL ECONOMICS AND PUBLIC ECONOMICS, 12 CFU; PUBLIC FINANCE, 6 CFU; STATISTICAL LEARNING, 6 CFU; TOPICS IN APPLIED ECONOMICS, 6 CFU.

The degree page lists a double degree with the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies. It also names curricular internship agreements with the American Embassy in Rome, American Express, Banca Etica, Capgemini, Eurosupport, the Fire Department Headquarters in Rome, Five Trade, IFAD, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in London, PLEF, and Whirlpool.

Asked about this programme

The questions this one gets.

Do I need IELTS to apply?

No. A CEFR B2 certificate is the standard route and IELTS 6.5 is one of the accepted options, alongside TOEFL iBT 87, TOEFL PBT 513, TOEFL CBT 183, Cambridge FCE, Cambridge BEC Vantage and Trinity ISE II. You may also apply with no certificate at all. In that case you upload a self declaration of your English level, and the Admission Board assesses your English during the online interview.

How much is tuition for a year?

The programme's own fees page states an annual tuition fee between 0 and 5,250 euro. The amount depends on family income earned in Italy or abroad and declared in the ISEE-U form, or in the Scheda Raccolta Dati form for students living outside Italy. The university publishes a fee simulator on the Delphi system.

Is there an application fee?

Yes. The 2026/2027 call sets it at 50 euro and it is not refundable. You pay it through the PagoPA system at the end of the online application, and you must validate the payment on Delphi before the deadline. Students with a disability of 66 per cent or more, and students who earned a Tor Vergata bachelor degree with a final grade of at least 100/110, are exempt.

Is there an entrance exam?

There is no written entrance exam. There is an online interview on Microsoft Teams, held in English, lasting up to 30 minutes. It covers the general principles of economics and your mathematical and statistical preparation. You are exempt if you already meet the curricular and language requirements and your final degree mark is at least 77/110, or 70 per cent of the maximum mark abroad. The interview cannot be rescheduled and missing it disqualifies you.

When does the course start and when do I enrol?

Classes for the 2026-2027 year started on 14 September 2026, in person on campus. Refresher courses started on 31 August 2026. Enrolment for that year opened on 15 July 2026 and closes on 6 November 2026. Acceptance cannot be deferred, so delaying by a year means applying again.

One programme, one university, once a year.

That is what Universitaly allows. Three questions tell you where you stand before you spend that choice: the degree level, what the visa wants in the bank, and how much calendar is left.
