Sapienza says the programme addresses the safety challenges that come with sustainability targets in industry. The stated focus is safety management models, circular management of processes and plants, and the management of technological and process innovation. Graduates are expected to design and run industrial systems with the ecological transition and decarbonisation in mind.
There are two curricula. Sapienza's international pre-selection document says the Sustainable Processes curriculum is delivered in English and the Green Technologies curriculum is delivered in part in Italian. Both curricula focus on the safety of industrial systems. The course catalogue lists the language of the programme as Italiano, Inglese. The published module list marks each module ITA or ENG, and both curricula contain some of each.

Sustainable Processes first year modules include GEOMATICA PER L'AMBIENTE, INDUSTRIAL PLANTS ECO-MANAGEMENT, CIRCULAR ECONOMY and INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER AND GAS TREATMENTS. Sapienza charges by where you declare your income. Pakistan is in Fascia A, so the fixed contribution is 300 euro for the year, paid as 90, 105 and 105 euro. You also pay a regional tax of 140 euro and a stamp duty of 16 euro. These are the 2025-2026 amounts. The 2026-2027 regulation is issued at the end of September 2026.
What does it cost to apply?
Two separate payments. The pre-selection application on MoveIN costs 30 euro for each application submitted, with no waiver, and a candidate may submit up to two. The entry requirements check on Infostud costs 10 euro, using course code 33490.
Is there an entrance exam?
No written entrance exam is published for this degree. Sapienza assesses your degree programme, your final mark and your results in the named subject areas. An interview is held to assess your English, and only if you hold neither an accepted certificate nor a waiver.
Where is it taught?
At Sapienza's Latina campus, not in Rome. The Latina campus provides teaching laboratories, libraries, study areas and computer classrooms, including a Raw Materials Engineering Laboratory and a Materials for the Ecological Transition Laboratory.
Can I still apply for 2026-2027?
The pre-selection deadline for candidates who need a study visa was 15 May 2026 and it has passed. The entry requirements check on Infostud opened on 2 July 2026, and 15 September 2026 is the only date the call lists for applicants from non-EU countries requiring a student visa. No dates are published yet for 2027-2028.
Can I do an internship?
Yes. From the second semester of the second year you may take a 6 CFU internship instead of the two 3 CFU laboratories. It can be done at a company or a local authority, or in a university laboratory at the Latina or Rome campuses. External internships are arranged through the Sapienza Jobsoul system.
