Applied Dynamic and Clinical Psychology is a two year Master's degree at Sapienza Universita di Roma. The class is LM-51 and the programme code is 33573. All teaching is in English. Lessons are held in person at the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology.
The university's full description
Sapienza states that the programme comes from the former programme in Clinical Psychosexology. It keeps the aim of offering an international Master's in clinical psychology. The teaching draws on the Department of Dynamic and Clinical Psychology and Health Studies. Allied subjects are included. These are developmental psychology, neuroscience, methodology and statistics, and the role of cultural and social factors.
The first year is shared by all students. It covers clinical psychology in health and care settings, psychometrics and data analysis, mental health and cross cultural psychiatry, dynamic psychopathology, assessment methods in affective neuroscience, clinical interview technique, and social and cultural cognition.
The second year splits into two curricula. One is Clinical psychosexology. The other is Developmental psychopathology. A student follows one of the two.
The study plan carries 20 CFU of Professionalizing Internship in each year and a 13 CFU final exam. Sapienza states that this internship is the tirocinio pratico valutativo needed to qualify as a psychologist in Italy. There are 9 CFU of elective courses and 3 CFU of Further linguistic knowledge.
