Why this figure, and not a lower one

Italian state fees usually scale with an assessed household indicator. Where the call states one figure it appears above; where it states a scale, this page says so rather than averaging it.

Before any of it counts

Start the legalisation chain first

A degree awarded outside Europe has to be attested and legalised before an Italian university reads it. That chain is decided by the country you apply from, and no office on it publishes a turnaround.

The degree

About this degree.

A two year master's degree in Management at Luiss Guido Carli in Rome, taught entirely in English, worth 120 ECTS, with a choice of three majors: Made in Italy in the Digital Age, International Management, or Corporate Value & Business. It suits economics and business graduates who can meet the curricular credit requirements and reach the published GMAT or GRE minimum score.

The Master's Degree in Management at Luiss Guido Carli is a two year second cycle degree. It is worth 120 ECTS credits. It is taught entirely in English. Luiss classifies it as LM-77, the Italian degree class for business and management. The published academic year is 2027/2028.

The university's full description

The course combines management theory, quantitative tools and applied work. Students study strategy, finance, marketing, organisation, innovation, sustainability and digital transformation. Teaching uses business case studies, simulations and project work. Students choose one of three majors. Made in Italy in the Digital Age covers brand management, sustainability and innovation. International Management covers corporate strategy, global marketing and international leadership. Corporate Value & Business covers value creation and corporate complexity.

The study plan is divided into Essentials, Majors, Profile electives, Certificates, Field Experience and a Final Thesis. Each major totals 120 ECTS. Every version of the plan includes two elective courses worth 12 ECTS, two Certificates worth 6 ECTS each, a compulsory foreign language course worth 4 ECTS, an internship worth 6 ECTS and a final thesis worth 16 ECTS. Luiss issues a digital micro credential on completion of each Certificate.

The degree requires at least one period abroad. Luiss states this must be physical mobility of at least 30 consecutive days. It must be completed during the master's degree. It can be met through double and triple degree programmes, the QTEM network, Erasmus, a free mover semester, a summer school or ENGAGE.EU mobility.

Admission is by selection. For Management and Finance, Luiss runs a dedicated selection based on a GMAT or GRE score. The minimum GMAT score is 555 out of 805. The minimum GRE score is 157 out of 170 in both the Quantitative and Verbal sections. There is also a Luiss admission test route, open to both EU and non-EU applicants. English is checked at B2 level inside the admission test, not through a separate language certificate. The participation fee is 150 euro and is not refundable.

The single annual contribution for the first year in 2027/2028 is 16,000 euro. Luiss states it is paid in three instalments, with the regional tax charged on top. Applications for 2027/2028 run from December 2026 to 31 March 2027. Enrolment closes on 18 May 2027. The bachelor's degree must be obtained by 18 November 2027. The full admission notice will be published from November 2026.

Asked about this programme

The questions this one gets.

Does this degree need an IELTS or TOEFL score?

No. Luiss checks English at B2 level inside its admission test. The minimum curricular requirements page says students must have at least a B2 level of English, which will be assessed during the admission test. For the Management and Finance route the same page says proficiency can also be verified by submitting GMAT or GRE certificates. Luiss publishes no IELTS or TOEFL minimum for this degree.

What does the first year cost?

The single annual contribution for the first year in 2027/2028 is 16,000 euro. Luiss splits it into three instalments and charges the regional tax on top. The 18,000 euro figure that appears on the same page applies to the Bachelor's degree programmes in Management and Finance, not to this master's degree.

What score do I need on the GMAT or GRE?

GMAT with a minimum score of 555 out of 805. GRE with a minimum score of 157 out of 170 in both the Quantitative and Verbal sections. You may attach an unofficial score when you apply, then supply the official score by the dates in the admission notice.

When do applications open and close?

Luiss publishes the 2027/2028 window as December 2026 to 31 March 2027. Enrolment closes on 18 May 2027. The bachelor's degree must be obtained by 18 November 2027. The full admission notice is published from November 2026.

Can I apply if my bachelor's is not in economics or business?

Yes, under one condition. Luiss admits students from other degree programmes only if they have at least 24 university credits in total, already earned or still to be earned, across at least three of these subject areas: Business, Economics, Statistics and Law.

Is time abroad compulsory?

Yes. The programme page says the degree requires at least one physical mobility experience abroad lasting a minimum of 30 consecutive days, completed during the master's degree.

How much is the application fee?

150 euro. Luiss states it is mandatory and non-refundable, and that you should check you have selected the correct category, EU/Schengen or non-EU/Schengen, before you pay.

One programme, one university, once a year.

That is what Universitaly allows. Three questions tell you where you stand before you spend that choice: the degree level, what the visa wants in the bank, and how much calendar is left.
