Unverified. Not yet verified. A person has not opened the source for this cycle. Read off the institution own programme page on 13 September 2026 by a single research pass. It has NOT been independently re-checked: the verification stage of that run was stopped before it reached this record, so the record renders as unverified rather than claiming a receipt it does not have. The English requirement is held at unverified unless a per programme source URL was found. Figures here are a starting point for a reader, not a checked claim. Open questions: 1) Intake month is not published. No Luiss page states when teaching for 2027/2028 begins, and the academic calendar page at luiss.it/en/university/luiss-life/academic-calendar carries only 2026/2027 and gives no month in its HTML. intakeMonths is left empty rather than assumed to be September. 2) The number of places for this degree is not published. Both routes confirm a capped quota exists but neither gives the figure. 3) The 2027/2028 admission notice is not out. The course page says the notices come in October 2026; the admissions hub, the non-EU hub, the test route page and the qualifications route page all say November 2026. Luiss contradicts itself on its own site, so the publication month itself is unresolved. 4) Second and later year tuition is not published. Luiss states 16,000 euro for the first year only. 5) The Admission Test route publishes no list of documents to upload at application. Only the qualifications route does, so documentsRequired reflects that route. The test route says admitted candidates upload documentation to the Self-Service portal after graduating. 6) No minimum mark or GPA is published for this degree. The published academic bar is credit based, not grade based, so minGpaPercent is empty rather than zero. 7) Global Management and Politics is listed twice on both route pages, once under Economics and once under Political Science or Law/Political Science. Luiss does not explain whether the subject area you pick changes anything, and the test route lets you name two courses only within one subject area. “Programme specific clause, from the section headed "Master's Degree in Global Management and Politics" under "Minimum academic requirements for admission to the selection process for the 2027/2028 academic year": "In addition, students must have at least a B2 level of English, which will be assessed during the admission test." The same page also states, for English taught degrees: "For degree programmes taught in English, in addition to meeting the minimum curricular requirements, applicants must have a level of English proficiency equivalent to at least B2. Depending on the admission route taken by applicants, proficiency at this language level is verified (for example, by passing the Admission Test in English or by submitting GMAT or GRE certificates)." No IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or Duolingo score is published for this degree, and no numeric English test score is set. The only numeric thresholds attached to this programme are the GMAT and GRE minimums on the qualifications route: GMAT 515 out of 805, GRE 154 out of 170 in the Quantitative and Verbal sections. The Admission Test may be taken in Italian or English, and Luiss states that taking it in Italian restricts you to Italian taught courses, so an applicant to this English taught degree must sit it in English.”

    accesso programmato

    The university's own wording
“Luiss does not print the words "accesso libero" or "accesso programmato" for this degree, but both published admission routes are ranked selections against a capped number of places. Admission Test route: "Rankings are determined for each degree programme indicated as a first choice, based on the score obtained in the Test, expressed out of 100. The Committee sets a minimum admission threshold for each degree course or specialisation, taking into account the scores achieved by candidates, the allocated number of places, and the aim of fostering a diverse class composition. If places remain available, the Committee may also consider the degree programmes indicated as second choices." Qualifications route: "The Commission reviews the applications and decides whether to admit candidates based on their score, taking into account the number of places available for each degree programme." The Italian text of the test route page reads "tenendo conto dei punteggi ottenuti dai candidati, del contingente di posti dedicato", that is, a dedicated quota of places. The number of places for this degree is not published.”

Before any of it counts

Start the legalisation chain first

A degree awarded outside Europe has to be attested and legalised before an Italian university reads it. That chain is decided by the country you apply from, and no office on it publishes a turnaround.

The chain, step by step, from Pakistan

The degree

About this degree.

A two year Master's Degree in the LM-77 class, taught in English, that sets management and economics alongside political science, law and history. It suits a graduate in economics, business or political science who wants to work on business decisions shaped by governments, regulation and geopolitics.

The Master's Degree in Global Management and Politics is a two year programme at Luiss Guido Carli in Rome. It is worth 120 ECTS. It is taught entirely in English. Italy classifies it in the LM-77 degree class. The academic year shown on the course page is 2027/2028.

The university's full description

The course puts management next to political science. Luiss describes it as combining economics, management, political science, law and history. Students study how businesses, public institutions, economic actors and international organisations act on one another. The course also covers geopolitical and regulatory risk, and the ethical and sustainability side of governance.

Semester one of year one is the Essentials block. Its courses are International Managerial Economics and Business: Managerial Economics, International Managerial Economics and Business: International Business, Global Organisation Design and HRM, Financial Reporting and Performance Measurement, and Qualitative and Quantitative Methodologies for Social Sciences. Semester two is the Major block. Its courses are Corporate Strategy, Global Politics, Political Economy of Globalization, Business Ethics and International Trade Law. Year two adds Global History and Cross-Cultural Management. It then carries two elective courses, two Certificates, an Internship and a Final Thesis. The total is 120 ECTS.

Entry is by selection, not by open enrolment. Luiss builds a ranking for each degree course and sets a minimum admission score against a fixed number of places. A non-EU applicant has two routes to this degree. One is the Luiss Admission Test. The other is admission with qualifications, using a GMAT or GRE score. The separate selection for Finance and Management does not apply here, and Luiss says so on both route pages.

Luiss does not ask for IELTS or TOEFL for this degree. It asks for English at CEFR level B2. It checks that level inside the Admission Test, or through the GMAT or GRE score.

The single annual contribution for the first year in 2027/2028 is 16,000 euro. Luiss splits it into three instalments and adds the regional tax on top. Taking part in the selection costs a further 150 euro, which is compulsory and is not refunded.

The 2027/2028 admission notice is not published yet. The course page says the notices arrive in October 2026. The admissions pages say November 2026. Until a notice is out, every requirement and date on this record can still change.

Where it leads

Asked about this programme

The questions this one gets.

Do I need IELTS or TOEFL for this degree?

No. Luiss publishes no IELTS or TOEFL score for this programme. It requires English at CEFR level B2 and checks that level inside the Luiss Admission Test, which you sit in English, or through a GMAT or GRE score on the qualifications route.

What are the two application deadlines?

They differ by route. The Luiss Admission Test route for non-EU applicants opens in December 2026 and closes on 8 April 2027, with the test held from 19 to 22 April 2027. The qualifications route, using GMAT or GRE, opens in December 2026 and closes on 31 March 2027. If you want both routes open to you, work to 31 March 2027.

What does it cost to apply?

A participation fee of 150 euro. Luiss states it is mandatory and non refundable. It is separate from tuition.

What is the tuition?

The single annual contribution for the first year in 2027/2028 is 16,000 euro, payable in three instalments, plus the regional tax. Luiss does not publish a second year figure for this degree.

Can I get in without an economics or political science degree?

Yes, if you carry the credits. Direct access covers Italian classes L-18 and 17, L-33 and 28, and L-36 and 15. From any other programme you need at least 24 university credits, earned or still to be earned, across at least three of Business, Economics, Statistics and Law.

Is the special Finance and Management selection relevant to me?

No. Luiss states on both non-EU route pages that the Finance and Management selection is separate, and that the qualifications route covers every Master's degree except Finance and Management. Global Management and Politics is named on the general routes.

Is the 2027/2028 admission notice out?

Not yet. Luiss says the notices carrying the full requirements and calendar will be published in November 2026. The course page says October 2026 instead. Until a notice appears, treat the dates here as provisional.

One programme, one university, once a year.

That is what Universitaly allows. Three questions tell you where you stand before you spend that choice: the degree level, what the visa wants in the bank, and how much calendar is left.
