What the call asks for

   Non EU or non Schengen applicants: "You can apply if you are a citizen of a country outside the EU or the Schengen area and you hold, or will obtain by the specified deadlines, a valid upper secondary school diploma that grants access to Italian universities."

   EU or Schengen applicants: "You can apply if you are a citizen of an EU or Schengen country and hold, or will obtain by the specified deadlines, a valid upper secondary school diploma that grants you access to Italian universities."

3. 03

   Route 1, the Luiss Test: "The Luiss Test comprises psycho-aptitude questions inspired by the SAT model, and is designed to assess logical reasoning, problem-solving, and mathematical skills." It is sat online with live proctoring.

   Route 2, selection on certifications, one of the following minimum scores: SAT Total Score 1200/1600; LSAT Total Score 160/180; ACT Total Score 25/36; IB Diploma or Predicted Grade 36/45.

   The language of the test is binding on enrolment. A test sat in English allows enrolment on any course. A test sat in Italian allows enrolment only on courses taught in Italian.

   Orientation 4 Summer School route pass mark: "To be admitted, you must achieve a final score of at least 60 out of 100." That test lasts 75 minutes and has 50 multiple choice questions, with 1 point per correct answer and a penalty of minus 0.25 per incorrect answer.

   Foreign qualifications: "Qualifications are only accepted for enrollment if obtained after at least two years of attendance in the same school system. Qualifications awarded as part of a mobility program will not be considered eligible for enrollment."

   Where a school system requires a national university entrance exam, the diploma is only eligible if accompanied by the certificate showing that exam was passed.

   Minimum school leaving marks are set per country of qualification, not per programme. The per country list is published on a separate Luiss page.

The English rule

The university's own test

“From the Luiss admission test FAQ, on a page valid for the 2027/2028 academic year that lists Business Administration among the degree programmes taught in English: "Do you need an English language certificate? No, passing the English language test is sufficient to access courses in English." The same page states the test language is binding: "Test in English: If admitted, you can enroll in any course (whether taught in English or Italian). Test in Italian: If admitted, you will only be able to enroll in courses taught in Italian." The EU and non EU Luiss Test pages carry the companion clause: "For degree programmes taught in Italian, the test will be taken in Italian; for those taught in English, it will be taken in English." Luiss publishes no minimum IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or Duolingo score for this degree. No such score appears anywhere on the ten Luiss pages read for this record, including the 1,319 line page of international qualification requirements. The only published numeric threshold on any admission route is the test pass mark of 60 out of 100 on the Orientation 4 Summer School route.”
